Are you licensed for civil ceremonies?
Unfortunately not — the venue does not currently hold a licence for civil ceremonies. Many couples choose to hold their ceremony nearby and come to us for the reception and celebration.
What time can we access the venue?
You’ll have access to the Lordsmere Suite from 10am on your wedding day. If you need access earlier, just let us know in advance and we’ll do our best to arrange it.
Can we extend the bar past midnight?
The bar closes and music must end at midnight, with guests vacating by 12.30am. A bar extension to 1am may be available at an additional cost — speak to your coordinator.
Can we use our own caterers?
No — outside caterers are not permitted. All catering is provided by our in-house team.
What size are your tables?
Our banqueting tables are 6ft round, comfortably seating up to 10 guests.
Can we bring or hire our own furniture?
Yes, although an additional fee applies as our own chairs would need to be stored. Any hired furniture must be removed by 10am the following day.
Can we use sparklers?
Sparklers are welcome on the patio only, provided they are not stored on site and are disposed of safely. Fireworks are not permitted.
Can we use candles?
Open flames are not permitted. Flameless candle alternatives are fine.
Where can we take photographs?
You have exclusive use of the patio, and there are designated scenic areas with views across Saddleworth. Your wedding coordinator will point you to the best spots. Please be aware the course is active — stay within the designated areas.
Can we bring a dog?
Unfortunately not — the clubhouse rules do not permit dogs in the function space or clubhouse.
Can we use our own suppliers?
Yes — DJs, magicians, and other entertainment suppliers are welcome. We’ll need a copy of their public liability insurance, and PAT testing certificates for anyone using electrical equipment.
Can we set up the day before?
Subject to availability. If the room is free, early setup is possible — additional charges apply. Ask your coordinator.
Where do you recommend for accommodation?
The Old Bell, Delph and The Shippon Inn, Delph are both close by. There’s plenty of additional accommodation within a 10-minute drive.
